I don't want my sim babies to basically be caged animals, like the parrots or wombats.
Babies should have play-time for stimulation, and I feel that way for sims-babies as well. Those I know let their babies be more out of the crib than in it, either lying on a blanket on the floor, or holding the baby and cuddling it (often while sitting).
